RES Steeples Renewables Proposal

The above map shows the proposed area "under consideration" by RES. This will engulf around 75% of our parish, destroying the habitats of our wildlife and decimating the livelihoods of 5 tenant farmers. Our area has become a prime target due to the proximity of national grid infrastructure at West Burton which makes it more profitable for the likes of RES. If this proposal achieves consent, our area will lose around 2400acres of open land to industrial solar production.

Due to the size of the development, the application will need  a Development Consent Order (DCO) application to be submitted to the  Planning Inspectorate (PINS),  and a final decision made by the Secretary of State.
