RES Statutory Consultation

A collective of residents from the rural farming heartland of North Nottinghamshire are the driving force behind Fields for Farming. We are drawn together by a common goal of fighting against the exploitation and destruction of farming and resulting damage to rural communities by the rapid and alarming loss of farmland to industrial solar developments.

To raise awareness amongst the residents of rural North Nottinghamshire whose surroundings and livelihoods will be critically and irreversibly damaged by the proposed solar development “steeple renewables”, which if allowed to go ahead will see approximately 75% of the parishes current agricultural green space turned into a barren industrial wasteland.  

• To stop the destruction of our local farming communities and the related businesses and people who support our hard working farmers.
• To protect habitats for the abundant local wildlife in our beautiful area.
• To maintain the present landscapes and vistas by protecting them from further industrial encroachment.
